North Syria’s Christians to commence their performances

Mass, prayers and hymns, today, on Sunday, in the Church of the Virgin Mary in the city of Qamishli, in Eastern Syria, as part of the rituals of Christmas celebrations.

Estimations indicate a decrease in the number of Christians in Syria, from one and a half million (10 percent of the population) before 2011 to about 300,000 now (less than 2 percent of the population).
