The Human Rights Organization Afrin-Syria released a statement declaring that the Turkish occupation army has built a concrete wall 5 kilometers long and 3 meters high from the Turkish-occupied village of Kemar, south of Afrin, to the village of Brad. Citing local sources, the organization said the occupation forces were using heavy vehicles to transport concrete blocks to villages in Sherawa district.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Turkish troops are stationed in various military bases in the village of Kimare, which is at the forefront of the war, from where they carry out attacks on Afrin IDPs in villages in the Shara and Sherawa districts and the nearby Shehba canton. The human rights organization reported that the Turkish military was also preparing to install wires, towers with thermal cameras, infrared cameras, night vision goggles, radars and wireless anti-signalling equipment, as well as firearms systems and customized laser weapons on the walls it has built in the areas it has occupied in northern Syria.<\/p>\n
According to the organization, on 19 April 2019, the Turkish army built walls around the villages of Kimar, Berade, Meremin and Cilbire, which are on the front line. The purpose of the construction is to separate the affected areas from Syria.
