A new incident that recently took place in the besieged city go Afrin has again raised the question of Turkey\u2019s assumed involvement in the ignition of violent clashes and skirmishes, resulting in the death of civilians as well as the country\u2019s general role in the Syrian conflict.
\nAs the city of Afrin has been occupied by Turkey-backed oppositional militias since the launching of Turkey\u2019s military offensive \u201eOperation Olive Branch\u201c in 2018, the city\u2019s inherent residents have vastly fled their homes with the increasing occurrence of heinous human rights violations and war crimes.
\nAccording to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the most recent entry of the Hayat Tahrir Ash-Sham, an internationally classified terrorist organization, into the Mahmudiyya neighborhood in Afrin was now officially confirmed, after the \u201eSyrian Front\u201c had withdrawn from the area and relocated to Azaz, situated in the North of Aleppo.
\nAccording to the latest news and updates, provided by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the militants of the Hayat Tahrir Ash-Sham stormed the city and instantly commend to completely take control of it, following its most recent involvement in violent clashes that erupted a few days ago with the oppositional \u201eHamza Division\u201c, which had resulted in the assassination of media activist \u201eAbu Ghanoom\u201c.
\nIn addition, Hayat Tahrir Ash-Sham also attacked several areas in the North of the Idlib governorate and the Western countryside of Aleppo, amid the continuation of the violent clashes between several oppositional militias, which further contributes to the region\u2019s constant destabilization as the cases of killings, kidnappings and torture are alarmingly increasing, prompting many residents to flee the area and seek refuge somewhere else.
\nThus, the fate of the remaining residents inside Afrin remains unknown with the seizure of control by a new organization, backed and financed by Turkey and internationally recognized as a notorious terrorist organization.<\/p>\n
