The death toll in northwestern Syria has risen for the fourth consecutive day due to the Syrian regime’s ongoing airstrikes. As of today, Monday, the sad tally stands at 43 dead and 175 injured.
For the fourth consecutive day, various areas in the western suburbs of Idlib and Aleppo have been experiencing displacement due to continued violent attacks and an escalation in bombardment. Regrettably, many families have been unable to leave their homes due to a lack of security. Civil Defense issued a statement highlighting the emerging humanitarian crisis in several localities as a result of the intense bombardment.
Alongside this, the White Helmets have issued urgent warnings about the dangerous impact of the ongoing escalation of attacks in northwestern Syria, including the use of internationally prohibited weapons such as incendiary and cluster bombs by regime forces and Russia. These concerning developments point to significant human casualties and widespread damage to infrastructure.
Since last Thursday, Syrian regime forces, along with Russian warplanes, have launched a violent offensive in northwestern Syria. This comes at a time when Turkey, for its part, has been carrying out attacks on infrastructure and vital facilities in northern Syria, which has led to power outages and the failure of water and gas facilities.
