As the Turkish missile and drone airstrikes on North and East Syria have reached a new peak with several power plant stations being bombed and civilians being deprived of electricity, the Office of Justice and Reform Affairs in AANES announced the temporary suspension of the ongoing rehabilitation program of children of ISIS members and affiliates.
Rehabilitation programs had been launched in the center of Hori and Urkesh and were specialized on indoctrinated children, however due to security concerns for the working staff, all programs had to get disrupted.
The issued statement of the Office of Justice and Reform Affairs in AANES further emphasized the concomitant perils and dangers of the continuous Turkish attacks on the region‘s stabilization and the omnipresent threat of ISIS.
As these centers were in fact unique opportunities for the prevention and addressing of radicalization at an early stage, the temporary suspension due to the intensified Turkish attacks on infrastructure again display the urgency to solve the issue of AANES and ISIS members in an international scale.
