The administration of Al-Hawl camp in Hasakah countryside in northeastern Syria, which is home to 56,000 people from families of ISIS terrorists, said in a written statement on Saturday morning that the Turkish attacks on the region would create a new environment for ISIS and thus could lead to instability in the region.
Their statement stressed, “It seems that Turkey is aiming to create a favorable environment for the resurgence of ISIS. These attacks also affect our work and the work of our partners in the camp, which is home to thousands of families of ISIS terrorists and is considered a breeding ground for terrorism, posing a threat to the security of the entire world.”
The statement added that Turkish attacks near camps for displaced people and refugees cause fear and panic among residents and humanitarian organizations, forcing them to temporarily suspend their activities.
Turkey began violent attacks on areas in northern and eastern Syria as early as Thursday morning, affecting more than 110 villages, towns, and vital facilities such as hospitals, oil refineries, electricity plants, and water reservoirs.
