The Green Left Party (YSP) gained an additional deputy in Urfa after the party objected to the transfer of YSP votes to the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP). The Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) found that the votes of the Green Left Party in 12 ballot boxes were written to different parties in the system of the YSK. The HDP objected to the YSK after it was found that the votes of the Green Left Party were written to MHP in many ballot boxes. After the objections, the Green Left Party’s seats in Urfa increased from 4 to 5.
It was also revealed that in several provinces of Diyarbakir, many YSP votes had been registered to other parties as well. The YSP’s lawyers’ objections to the votes being written to different parties were all accepted. Since the announcement of the election results, citizens have been sharing on social media comparisons between the votes on the CHP’s website, where it publishes the YSK data, and the reports of the ballot box results. Many citizens claim that votes were entered into the system incorrectly, especially in some polling stations in the Kurdish provinces. According to the HDP, most of the irregularities took place in polling stations where the Green Left Party did not have observers.
The newspaper BirGün also examined a ballot box in Bornova and reported that the votes had been entered incorrectly. According to the YSK data, the CHP received 49 votes, the AKP 58, the İYİ Party 1, the Green Left Party 24 and the MHP 13. However, according to the election results report, the CHP received 147 votes and the İYİ Party 49 votes. Another incident took place in the province of Nusaybin. In Nusaybin, a ballot box with 225 votes for YSP was recorded as 0 votes in the YSK system. The 225 votes belonging to YSP were recorded as MHP votes. While continuing to compare the YSK data with the wet-signed minutes, the Green Left Party objected to this irregularity.
