„Shabiha, Shabiha, Shabia!“ – Indignant Syrian protesters in the city of Azaz expel the head of the opposition coalition
In the wake of the most recent progression in the framework of an impending Syrian and Turkish rapprochement, following the tripartite meeting in Moscow, the Syrian opposition increasingly voices its staunch rejection of any normalization with the Syrian regime.
After a wave of protests that erupted in the Northern parts of Aleppo and Idlib, the Northern city of Azaz was also recently shaken by widespread demonstrations, with obstreperous protesters expelling Salem Al-Muslat, the head of the opposition coalition.
They chanted inciting slogans against Al-Muslat, as shown in many videos that circulated across social media as a direct reaction to their opposition towards further potential steps that might accelerate the rapprochement process between Damascus and Ankara.
