North and East Syria: New statistics of ISIS families who were extradited to their countries

The Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria has published statistics on the numbers and nationalities of ISIS family members who were handed over to their countries during 2022.
Target media platform obtained a copy of this statistic issued by the Department of Foreign Relations, which shows that hundreds of ISIS families have been returned to their countries of origin.
During a press conference held on the 25th of July in the city of Qamishli, in eastern Syria, 42 women and 104 children were handed over to Tajikistan, as well as France, 32 women and 77 children, and Russia, only 68 children without women.
In the same context, the administration of AANES returned, according to the statistics, 16 women and 44 children to the Netherlands, and 15 women and 38 children to Germany. The statistics also included Belgium, which took 6 women and 16 children, and Australia, 4 women and 13 children.
The Department of Foreign Relations of AANES also handed over to Sweden 6 women and 9 children, Albania 4 women and 9 children, Britain one woman and 3 children, Canada two women and two children, and Austria two children.
In addition, the administration handed over a woman and a child to the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, bringing the total number of women and children from ISIS families who returned to their countries from camps in northeastern Syria during the current year to 515 people from 13 countries around the world.
It is noteworthy that there are more than 56,000 families of ISIS fighters in camps in northern and eastern Syria.
